Dementia Friends

a dementia friendly America initiative

1-Hour Information Session: Learn what dementia is, what itโ€™s like to live with the disease, and some tips for communicating with people living with dementia.

ASI has 3 Dementia Friends Champions who provide information sessions to the public.

What is a Dementia Friend?

A Dementia Friend is someone who, through viewing a series of online videos or attending a live session, learns about what it’s like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action. From telling friends about the Dementia Friends program to visiting someone who is living with dementia, every action counts.ย Anyone of any age can be a Dementia Friend โ€“ we all have a part to play in creating dementia friendly communities!

How do I become a Dementia Friend?

Attend a live Dementia Friends session offered by one of our 3 Dementia Friends Champions.

Call us to learn more about upcoming sessions.
